Looks like a 500mb (cut-off) low is beginning to develop and will likely bring heavy thundery downpours to southern-most Iberia and northern Morocco starting tomorrow night. One or two of the hi-res models show an intense band of precipitation later Tuesday through the strait of Gibraltar, and as always with these upper level lows there is the chance of slow moving heavy downpours.
Not ideal for a region that was beginning to relax after the extremely wet winter. Fortunately it's not going to be a long term feature, however the region does look like returning to a cooler and more showery period for a time, typical for early March.
