Omega Block?

Hi guys,

Sunny skies this week and next week, do we have an Omega block to thank for this?

I am still understanding the basics of weather particularly the upper level flows, but from looking at the gfs model outputs it suggests an Omega block over the north western Europe?

Have I read this pattern correctly?

Indeed, there has been an Omega block pattern over us, it has kind of flipped between an Omega and a Rex block pattern. Very unusual for this part of the world, especially in March and April.
