Understanding Skew-Ts

Can anyone help me understand how to read SkewT diagrams or provide me some links to learn how to read and use them?

It's not such an easy answer as Skew-T plots differ depends on who has plotted them as the graphics can differ somewhat.

NWS has a useful website and perhaps is a good base to start learning about them
